Sandi Colón Discipleship Pastor

Sandi was born in New Hampshire but raised in the Bay Area.  Sharing an interest in music with her brothers, she played keyboards for their rock band doing her first show in Junior High.  After playing schools and parties through High School, the band made a jump into the local night club scene.  Around this time she met her husband, Rob.  Their dating life was a wild ride and by the end of 1989 Sandi hit a low point and realized she needed a change.  She puts it this way, “I was at home, sick with mono, had been laid off from work, dumped by my boyfriend, kicked out of my band, my dog died, my brother was diagnosed with cancer, and we had a major earthquake.  It sounds like a bad country song, but it was true!  I looked at my life and thought ‘Wow, I don’t have anything that can’t be taken from me in a moment.’  That’s when I realized I needed God.  He would be the one thing I could never lose.”  As God became real in her life, her passion became the desire to share His love with others.  She now enjoys doing just that, especially through small group Bible studies, pastoral counseling, and mission trip opportunities.

Sandi & Rob are now living happily ever after, but you should catch up with them sometime to hear their funny and powerful story of who corrupted who first, and how God turned their lives around.  They have ministered together in Russia, New Zealand, Australia, Boston, and the Seattle area.  They have two “children,” a mastiff named Otis and a cat named Mr. Biggles.  They share similar hobbies including cycling, swimming, running, and backpacking.
