A little thing can make a big difference. We are all children of God and when our resources dry up life can seem hopeless. For over a year now, Sunnyvale SDA Church has been providing hope for our homeless and low-income neighbors at The Refuge.

Partnering with New Beginnings Foursquare Church and their established mission at The Refuge, we serve a hot, freshly-cooked, homemade dinner, live music, and a simple message of love and acceptance to the 85 to 100 guests that show up each month.
Why don’t you join our cause? Funded by donations and run by volunteers, we welcome everyone and could especially use:

  • Donations to buy food for meals
  • Hands to help cook, transport, and serve food
  • Singers and connectors to talk with guests and sing in and lead praise service
  • Meal coordinators
  • and Genius Chefs

All skill levels are welcome and appreciated!

Group News

Hi friends! We just had the February Homeless Feeding on the 11th. It was fantastic. The food was donated by the Cimino Family, and we so appreciate their love and gracious giving.

Our next dinner will be March 17, 2012. From this date on, we will do the dinners every 3rd Saturday of the month. The menu for the month of March is:             Chicken Pot Pie, cole slaw, possibly fresh broccoli, drinks and dessert. Sherrill Salom is cooking and Mariam Monterosso with the Young Professionals will be coordinating. If you would like to help out in any way contact Mariam at mariamm@gmail.com or Sherrill Salom at office@sunnyvalesda.org
