Financial Peace University Location: Sunnyvale SDA Church

Many of you have heard of financial expert Dave Ramsey and his Financial Peace University. Dave has based his financial precepts on the Bible, drawing from God’s word to teach, encourage, and help folks to become financially stable. Dave offers this program on DVD, but its rather expensive to purchase, so...our church member, Frank Jin, who owns his own independent insurance agency,( http://www.coveringyourassets.com) is hosting and presenting this 13-week seminar at Sunnyvale church. It is open to anyone who wants to come so feel free to invite family and friends. The cost is $100 for the entire program, which includes the Financial Peace Workbook. Financial assistance may be available on request.

Heritage Sabbath - Combined Service Location: Sunnyvale SDA Church

Join us for a combined service as we commemorate paying off the church mortgage and celebrate where we have been and where we are going. Expect to see former pastors and lots of guests! If you know of former members or pastors that you want to invite, please send the information. There will be no First Light Service; Bible Study classes will start at 10:30 am and church at 11:45 am.

Club 365 Beach Day Location: New Brighton State Beach

Come enjoy a day of Surfing, Sup Boarding and Kayaking at New Brighton State Beach. Club 365 and the Mom’s Club are joining up for a one-day beach day, to be followed by a week of camping for those who wish to stay.

Young Professionals Camping Location: Mt. Madonna County Park

The Young Professionals group is planning an end of summer camping trip at Mt. Madonna County Park. It will be from August 24 to August 26. Before we can plan out the budget and event details we will need to know who is interested in coming with a deposit of $20 to secure a spot for sure. The deposit money will be held and will be deducted for the cost of food, gas, cost of campsite etc. To place a deposit, please put it in a church tithe envelope with the following:

• Phone number
• Email

Write "YP Summer Camp Deposit" on the envelope and insert your $20.  The deposit deadline is June 2, 2012. The event will be canceled if we do not receive deposits from at least 4 individuals.
